Safety & confidence
Water safety, floating and calm breathing come first — the foundation every swimmer needs.
EPS Swimming · Ages 1–16
Swimming is an excellent way to start your child's journey into sport. We build water confidence first — then independence, technique and stamina, one level at a time.

Why start with swimming
Every child is assessed at a trial lesson and placed in the class that's right for them — so they're challenged, never overwhelmed.
Water safety, floating and calm breathing come first — the foundation every swimmer needs.
Small wins every week build independence in the water and a big boost of self-belief out of it.
For babies, water play supports reflex and psychomotor development; for older children, real swimming skills.
Class levels
Five stages take swimmers from water confidence to competitive stamina.
Beginner. Basic water safety, floating, paddling and movement — building real water confidence.
Beginner. Safe entries, floating front and back, travelling up to 10 m, and regaining an upright position.
Coordinated breathing across strokes, 25 m in a stroke of choice, water safety and exercise preparation.
The first step toward competition: 400 m continuous, technique in all four strokes, strength and speed.
Stamina for 800 m in one stroke and a 100 m individual medley with legal turns, plus strength and speed.
